Sunderland GP Alliance is working to make sure
that our service to our patients is maintained.
If you have any symptoms of the virus like a persistent cough or a raised temperature DO NOT come into the GP surgery.
Please contact your practice online or by phone or use the e consult form on your practice website to send us an email.

if you have coronavirus symptoms:
- do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital
- you do not need to contact 111 to tell them you’re staying at home
- testing for coronavirus is not needed if you’re staying at home.

About the practice
Washington is situated six miles to the west of Sunderland and four miles south-east of Gateshead.
The property is situated close to The Galleries Shopping Centre that provides approximately 200 shops, the local library, leisure centre, approximately 3,000 free car parking spaces and a central bus station.
The Galleries Health Centre is a four storey property built in the 1970s.
Sunderland GP Alliance Medical Practice is situated on the 2nd floor. You can access the medical practice directly from the Shopping Centre. Lift facilities are also available. Sunderland GP Alliance Galleries is part of a group of practices which also include Barmston and Pennywell Medical Centre.
